Step 8: Adding a Font

PREPARE YOUR ZIPPED FONT FILE

There are two ways to prepare your fonts before uploading them to the backend. Please take a look at options A and B.

A. Pick a font

  1. Go to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/
  2. find your font, click on it so it takes you to that font's page
  3. Click the "Download OTF or TTF" button
  4. Unzip the file
  5. Go back to Font Squirrel and click the "Web Generator" button
  6. Click the "Add Fonts" button and upload the font file that you just unzipped. (NOTE: not the zip file - the individual font files)
  7. Check the Agreement box
  8. Click the "Download your kit" button (NOTE: this is the zip file that you will upload to your product and will look something like webfontkit-XXXXXX-XXXXX.zip.)

* Please note: if you are using Safari, the zip might automatically unpack once downloaded. This will not work. To change this setting

In Safari go to Preferences > General, and uncheck "Open SAFE files after downloading". 

UPLOAD A FONT

  1. If you are logged into the backend of your product,
  2. Select the "Setup" section
  3. Click on the "Design tab"
  4. Click "Upload New" in the "Gloabal Fonts Zip File" section
  5. Choose your Zip File
  6. Click "Save"

 

B. I already have a True Type Font

  1. Go to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/tools/webfont-generator
  2. Click the Add Fonts button and select your font
  3. Choose the "Optimal" selection
  4. Check the Agreement
  5. Download the zip file

In Safari go to Preferences > General, and uncheck "Open SAFE files after downloading".

 

UPLOAD A FONT

  1. If you are logged into the backend of your product,
  2. Select the "Setup" section
  3. Click on the "Design tab"
  4. Click "Upload New" in the "Gloabal Fonts Zip File" section
  5. Choose your Zip File
  6. Click "Save"
