IMAGE SIZES

Refer to the "Intothedarkroom Message" on the top of your WordPress backend Dashboard for images size for your template (NOTE: changing settings can change the image sizes). Learn how to save your images here.

 

DESIGN OPTIONS

This video goes over logo, colors, sizes, etc. 

 

UPLOAD FONTS

 Step 1: Prepare your zipped font file

  1. If you already have the OTF or TTF file that you want to use then skip to step 6.
  2. Go to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/
  3. Find your font, click on it so it takes you to that font's page
  4. Click the "Download OTF or TTF" button
  5. Unzip the file
  6. Go back to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ and click the "Web Generator" button in the navigation
  7. Click the "Add Fonts" button and upload the font file (that you just unzipped)
  8. Check the Agreement box
  9. Click the "Download your kit" button (this is the zip file that you will upload to your product)

* Please note: if you are using Safari, the zip might automatically unpack once downloaded. This will not work. To change this setting

In Safari go to Preferences > General, and uncheck "Open SAFE files after downloading". 

Step 2: Upload a font

  1. If you are logged into the backend of your product,
  2. Click on the "Design tab"
  3. Click on the "Fonts" tab
  4. Click "Upload"
  5. Click "Save"

 

 

HOME PAGE (Homepage & Header Images)

You can edit everything on the home page in WordPress > ITDR Admin (bottom left of the wordpress navigation) > Home Page tab.  The only exception is the header which is in the "Header" tab.

UPLOADING HEADER IMAGES

  1. Click the ITDR ADMIN
  2. Use the dropdown to select "Header images"
  3. Click the "Upload" button at the bottom of the panel
  4. Choose your photos and upload
  5. Click "Done" when all of the images have been uploaded

WELCOME TEXT, IMAGE LINKS & INSTAGRAM

  1. Click the ITDR ADMIN
  2. Use the dropdown to select "Home Page Settings"
  3. Under the "Settings" tab: Change the "Welcome Title", the "Welcome Content" & number of "Instagram Photos" that show up on the homepage
  4. Under the "Hot Links" tab: Add a "Title", am "Image" and a "Link"

NOTE: Your Instagram setting are set up in the "Setup" dropdown in the "Instagram" tab. 

 

 

INSTAGRAM PAGE

An Instagram page is a page that has your Instagram feed on it - example Instagram page. To setup your instagram page...

  1. Click the  "Pages" button
  2. Click "Add New"
  3. Then, in the attributes panel on the right, use the Template drop down and select “Instagram”
  4. Click "Publish"
  5. Go into the ITDR Admin > Setup tab > Instagram tab > and fill in the options

 

 

SOCIAL MEDIA

You can manage your Social Media information by going to the "Setup" section in the dropdown. 

GOOGLE ANALYTICS CODE

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and select "Setup"
  3. Under the "Settings" tab find the "Analytics Embed Code" section
  4. Paste the code that Google provided in the field
  5. Click "Save"

INSTAGRAM TAB

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and select "Setup"
  3. Click on the "Instagram" tab
  4. Fill out the Instagram information found in your account. 

NOTE: You can Google "Generate an Access Token for Instagram and you will need this link: https://instagram.com/developer/authentication/

SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and select "Setup"
  3. Under the "Social Media" tab
  4. Add all of the social media accounts that you would like to use. 

 

 

CONTACT PAGE

To create a contact page, you will need to follow the steps outlined below.

STEP 1 

  1. Click the "Pages" button (on the wordpress navigation)
  2. Click "Add New"
  3. Create a Page called "Contact"
  4. On the right find the "Page Attributes" panel
  5. Use the "Template" dropdown and choose "Contact"
  6. Type a description in the text field
  7. Click "Publish"

STEP 2

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and choose the "Contact Page & Mailing list Settings"
  3. Use the "Google Map Embed Code" and paste the code provided by Google
  4. Contact Form Recipients- be sure to put in the email address that you would like the contact forms to go to
  5. Mailing List Pop up timer controls when and if the mailing list signup pops up
  6. Mailing List Provider - if you have a mailing list provider currently we support Mail Chimp, Mad MiMi and Campaign Monitor
  7. Mailing List Account Api- this is something that you will get from your provider ie MadMimi
  8. Mailing List Subscriber List Key/ID may be needed
  9. Server Email: You can leave this blank unless you have a Yahoo email address. If you have a Yahoo email, they will give you an additional Server email address to put in the first field.
  10. Click "Save"

 STEP 3

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and choose the "Contact Form Settings"
  3. Click "New" at the bottom of the panel and start setting up the fields.

MAILING LIST CAPTURE

You have the option to use the mailing list sign up to capture emails into your mailing list system. 

STEP 1: Setup your mailing list account info

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and choose the "Contact Page & Mailing list Settings"
  3. Mailing List Pop up timer controls when and if the mailing list signup pops up
  4. Mailing List Provider - if you have a mailing list provider currently we support Mail Chimp, Mad MiMi and Campaign Monitor
  5. Mailing List Account Api- this is something that you will get from your provider ie MadMimi
  6. Mailing List Subscriber List Key/ID may be needed
  7. Click "Save"

STEP 2: Your pop up message

  1. Click the "ITDR ADMIN"
  2. Use the dropdown and choose "Language"
  3. Choose the "Contact & Mailing List" tab
  4. Mailing list button edits buttons text on the site
  5. Mailing List title edits the title in the pop up
  6. Mailing List Description edits the message on the pop up
  7. Click "Save"
