Step 2: Install product

Select and install your products

Below is a video and step by step instructions on how to select and install any of our products in your hosted membership account. 

 

How to install a website (Start video at marker 0:01)

  1. Click on the "Add Products" button on the left.
  2. Click on the "Website" category (this filters the results).
  3. Find the product that you want, rollover it  and click the "Install" button.
  4. Type in a nick name for the product (no one will see this but you).
  5. Use the dropdown to select a domain and type a folder name if you would like one (ie: mydomain.com/weddings) Hint: You can change the location of the product later.
  6. Click the "Install Now" button.
  7. The product is now being installed. After a few minutes, it will redirect you to the page that will allow you to manage your list of products.

 

How to install a blog/blogsite (Start video at marker 1:15)

  1. Click on the "Add Products" button on the left.
  2. Click on the "Blog" or "Blogsites" category (this filters the results).
  3. Find the product that you want, rollover it  and click the "Install" button.
  4. Type in a nick name for the product (no one will see this but you).
  5. Use the dropdown to select a domain and type a folder name if you would like one (ie: mydomain.com/weddings) Hint: You can change the location of the product later.
  6. Choose an existing database via the dropdown or type the name of a new database. Hint: You can name the database anything you want like "myblog" or today's date. 
  7. Click the "Install Now" button. The product is now being installed. After a few minutes, it will redirect you to the page that will allow you to manage your list of products.
  8. Click on the "Admin" button to launch the wordpress backend.
  9. You will have to set up the login/password for the wordpress backend.
  10. Once you do this, please activate the theme by going to the "Themes" tab under the "Appearance" section.

 

How to install slideshow and photo carts applications (Start video at marker 2:49)

  1. Click on the "Add Products" button on the left.
  2. Click on the "Applications" category (this filters the results).
  3. Find the product that you want, rollover it  and click the "Install" button.
  4. Type in a nick name for the product (no one will see this but you).
  5. Use the dropdown to select a domain and type a folder name if you would like one (ie: mydomain.com/clients) Hint: You can change the location of the product later.
  6. Click the "Install Now" button - The product is now being installed. After a few minutes, it will redirect you to the page that will allow you to manage your list of products.
