Introduction

Backend/Admin
For those of you that are SELF HOSTED, you can find the login page to your product at www.yoursite.com/?admin

(HINT: If you installed the product in a sub directory ie: “/flaunt”, then you will go to www.yoursite.com/flaunt/?admin ) (If you are having issues, please refer to the email sent to you after installation. It will tell you where to login to your admin and where your site lives.


Prepare your Images - watch a video
All of your images should be cropped, optimized, and saved for the web before you upload them. This will help your product load images as fast as possible. Click the "Watch Video Tutorial" button to learn more about this. The image sizes used in our demo are listed in the sections below.

Image should be no larger that 1000 x 1000 pixels.

Set up your gallery wall - watch a video

  1. Select the “Pages” tab
  2. Click the "Splash" tab
  3. Add a title that will appear in the opening Dialog box like: "Welcome"
  4. In the "Description" field, write something like: Thank you for visiting my photo cart.  Your orders will be sent in x days, etc etc. 
  5. Splash Page View:  Choose "Gallery Wall" from the drop down list.
  6. Hide Image count: Select "True" and this will hide the image count for each set on the wall
  7. Auto hide Expired Sets Bool: Select "True" and this will remove expired sets from the wall.  (Keeps it clean and tidy)
  8. Click “Save”

 

Client login & Contact page

Set up your contact page - watch a video

  1. Select the “Pages” tab
  2. Click the "Contact" tab
  3. Add a title for the page (ie: contact us)
  4. In the "Description" area you can add your address, phone number, etc.
  5. Your Website URL: in the first field add your http//www.com.  In the second Field add the name of your website (ie: Jay Reilly Photography)
  6. Your Email: In the first field, enter your email address.  In the second field, enter your name.
  7. Server Email: Leave this blank unless you have a Yahoo account or you know your server requires it. 
  8. Click “Save”

 

Create a client set

Add a new client set - watch a video

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click “NEW”
  3. Name the set 9HINT: name it something simple like the client's name “smith”. Don't use funny characters like %,$,& )
  4. Click “Create Page”

HINT: You will now set the new set in the list on the left panel. You can now click on it to upload images and more.

 

Upload web ready images

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click the client set
  3. Click the “Image List” tab on the right panel
  4. Click the “Upload” button at the bottom
  5. Click “Add Files From your Computer” (in the new window)
  6. Find the images you want to upload
  7. Wait for all of the images to be done loading.
  8. Click “Done”

 

Adjust the settings for this set - watch a video

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click the client set
  3. Click the “Settings” tab on the right panel
  4. Enter a Password (optional)
  5. Set an expiration date (optional)
  6. Add a photo cart link: If you add a photo cart link, a shopping cart icon will appear in the tool bar of this set.
  7. Turn favorites on: Select "True" if you would like your users to have the favorites option. 
  8. Use the Global Soundtrack: Set this to "False"for now.  this means we are going to upload music specifically for this set.  Later you can use the Global playlist.
  9. Include on Gallery wall: Set this to "True" to make this set appear on the gallery wall.
  10. Gallery Wall Image: Add an image that is no taller than 150 pixels to represent this image on the gallery wall. 
  11. Contact List: Add the emails of your clients in a comma separated fashion (ie: email1@email.com, email2@email.com,etc)
  12. Click "Save"


Music

There are two ways to upload music to your slideshows. Both methods are listed below.- watch a video

Upload music to the Global Soundtrack
The global soundtrack allows you to upload music to one central place that will be used for every client set.

  1. Click the "Globals" tab
  2. Click the "Global Soundtrack" tab
  3. Click the “Upload” button at the bottom
  4. Click “Add Files From your Computer” (in the new window)
  5. Find the MP3 files you want to upload
  6. Wait for all of the files to be done loading.
  7. Click “Done”

 

Upload music directly to the set
This will allow you to upload music directly to a client set.

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click the client set
  3. Click the “Tracks” tab on the right panel
  4. Click the “Upload” button at the bottom
  5. Click “Add Files From your Computer” (in the new window)
  6. Find the MP3 files you want to upload
  7. Wait for all of the files to be done loading.
  8. Click “Done”

Now that you have an MP3 upload to this specific set, you have to turn off the global music soundtrack.

  1. Click on the "Customize" tab
  2. Click "True" for the "Override Global Settings" option
  3. Click "Save"

 

Soundtrack Settings

  1. Click the "Globals" tab
  2. Click the "Soundtrack Settings"
  3. The "Enable" option should be marked "True" if you want to use a Global Soundtrack" or "False" if you do not want to
  4. Adjust the "Volume" by moving the slider. We suggest 50%.
  5. Mark the "Loop" option "True" if you would like the music to look back to the beginning when it has finished.
  6. Click "Save"

 

Video

You can add video directly from your Youtube account. The video will play right in the slideshow. watch a video

Upload Video from Youtube

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click the client set
  3. Click the “Image List” tab on the right panel
  4. Click the “Upload” button at the bottom
  5. Past the YouTube video URL in the "Sideload" field
  6. Click "Sideload"
  7. Once you get the green check mark, click "Done"
  8. Find your video in the list and click the icon in the bottom right corner of the image
  9. Click on the blue timeline to select a frame to use as the screenshot/thumbnail
  10. Click "Save Screenshot of current frame" below the timeline
  11. Once it reaches 100%, click "Close"


Preview & Output

Preview the set

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click the client set
  3. Click "Preview" at the bottom of the left panel

 

Send the client to the Gallery wall to login
You can send all of your clients one link to the gallery wall (see above on how to set this up). This link will be the installation URL of your Flaunt slideshow (ie: www.mysite.com/flaunt). Once they are there, they can find their set and login (they will need their password if you set one up).

 

Output tab
The Output tab is a quick way to send information/link to your specific clients or the general population.  - watch a video

> Output tab - Direct link
find a direct link to a set.  This link should eliminate the need for a set ID and get the client directly into the set.  Hint: they will still have to enter a password (if setup) and an email address.

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click the client set
  3. Click the "Output" tab
  4. Select "Copy Direct Link" from the Drop down
  5. Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  6. Paste it in an email and send to the client

 

> Output tab - Twitter & Facebook
Send a link directly to your facebook or twitter account so your social networking groups can view it.  Hint: you can change the message in the "Language" tab. 

 

> Output tab - Bulk email
Send a group of people associated with the set a message and link. 

For bulk email...

  1. Click “Content”
  2. Click on the client set.
  3. click on the "Output"
  4. Select "Bulk email" from the drop down
  5. Click the "Include Contact List" if you set it up in the previous set or add emails in the "Comma Separated email" field
  6. Type a personal message
  7. Click "Send bulk message"

 

> Output tab - Embed Code
Embed the slideshow in our blog templates. 

  1. Click on the client set.
  2. click on the "Output"
  3. Select "Embed Code" from the drop down
  4. Choose dimensions that will fit in your blog
  5. Decide if you want to auto hide the toolbar, auto play the show, and or play the music. 
  6. Click "Copy to clipboard"  (Hint:  this is the same as copying the code)
  7. Go to your blog and paste the code (if Wordpress, make sure you switch to the HTML tab)

    It would be really great that in addition to the envelope icon that there also be another "share" icon that allows users to share via social media. It is not obvious that the slideshow can also be shared on Facebook or twitter using the envelope icon. Envelope lends itself to "email." A Share button with the ability to chafe via FB, Twitter, G+ and Pinterest would be awesome.
